The back panel of the Bow and Stern door is a solid sheet of alder wood stained or painted in your preferred finish
The steel used is laser cut from hot rolled raw steel.

*Note: The raw steel sheets used for these doors come from the steel mill in a variety of shades from light grey, to bluish tones, to dark grey almost black.  Your door may be uniform in color, have streaks or spots with color variances.  All of this is normal and natural for raw steel sheets. In addition to the color and pattern variances scratches are normal and acceptable.  The steel sheet may have lots of color and character or none at all, it is a beautiful industrial door with no set look, just whatever "personality" or lack thereof that a particular steel sheet has. One or more sheets may be used to manufacture this door potentially increasing the variation of color tones and steel character.  If Unfinished Raw Steel door is selected the metal will oxidize and rust based on the environment it is exposed to.  

If you select "Cold Rolled Steel" you can leave it as Raw Unfinished or add a finish from the "Select Metal Door Frame and/or Metal Grid" If you choose a finish it will apply to all of the metal on the door.
