Arched Front Doors & Arched Exterior Doors

Full-Radius, Round-Top & Slight-Arch Doors

Arched doors do not all have the same curve. A full-radius or round-top design creates a more pronounced rounded silhouette, while a slight or segmented arch rises more gently above the straight sides. Match the product's approved drawing to your opening; similar names do not guarantee matching profiles.

A round-top front door can complement Mediterranean, Spanish-inspired or traditional architecture. A slight arch suits an entrance where you want a curved detail with a quieter profile. Coordinate the door with nearby windows, masonry and trim so the curve feels intentional.

Arched Wood, Metal & Glass Front Doors

Wood arched exterior doors

A wood entry door brings grain, texture and a substantial panel design to the entrance. The Tuscan Front Door combines a curved outline with Mediterranean-inspired solid wood detailing. Compare the available species, textures and finishes, and plan for the maintenance required by the door's exposure.

Arched front doors with glass

Glass can brighten an entry hall while a metal frame gives the design a defined outline. The French Quarter Full Radius combines a rounded top with glass above a solid lower section. The Modern Cottage Arched Top offers a gentler curve. Review each model's glass and finish choices before deciding.

Privacy and exterior performance

Clear glass preserves views; textured or obscured glass changes visibility through the door. Evaluate privacy with the actual glass sample and lighting conditions. For exterior use, assess the entire door system, including glazing, frame, weather seals and threshold. Ask for the available tested ratings and exposure requirements for your configuration; the arch shape or material alone does not establish energy performance.

Single & Double Arched Exterior Doors

A single arched front door creates a focal point within a narrower opening. An arched double door pair adds symmetry across a wider entrance. Compare the glass grids of the Provence Full Radius Double Door and the Atrium Full Radius Double Door. Confirm the active panel, how the second panel secures and the available swing direction.

Entryway, patio and garden openings

The installation location matters as much as the design. Check the landing, surrounding walls and clearance for the open door. Discuss sidelights or a transom with Rustica before planning the overall opening; available combinations depend on the design. For other shapes, compare front entry doors and double exterior doors.

How to Measure for a Custom Arched Door

Two openings can have the same width and overall height but different curves. Have your installer record the full profile and ask Rustica what drawing or template is needed before approving your order.

1. Measure the opening, not just the old panel. Record the width, overall height to the highest point and the height where the curve begins on each side.
2. Document the arch. Supply the rise or radius when known, plus photos and an accurate template or drawing if requested. Do not assume the curve is a semicircle.
3. Check frame depth and condition. Record wall thickness, jamb depth and the condition of the surrounding opening. Distinguish the rough opening from the finished frame.
4. Confirm the configuration. Verify single or double doors, handing, swing, hinge preparation, lock preparation and included frame components.
5. Approve the fit before production. Compare the final door and frame drawing with the installer-verified opening, including required clearances.

The standard door sizing guide explains common measurement terms. Custom arched dimensions and profiles depend on the design; contact Rustica if the listed options do not describe your opening.

Prehung arched doors versus replacement slabs

A prehung arched door is supplied mounted in its matching frame. A slab is the panel without that frame. Reusing an existing jamb requires the curve, thickness, hinges and lock preparation to match—not simply the width and height. Confirm the exact package and included hardware on the selected product.

Replacing a rectangular entry with an arched entrance can require changes to framing, exterior finishes and weatherproofing. Have a qualified installer assess the opening and any structural work before ordering. Installation includes aligning the frame and door, fitting seals and checking operation; an arched slab alone does not create a complete weather-sealed entry.

Arched Exterior Door Cost & Ordering

Custom arched door prices depend on the profile, width, height, material, glass, finish and single or double configuration. A prehung frame and hardware choices also affect the total. Use the product page for current pricing, then check what is included in your selected configuration.

Budget separately for installation, changes to the opening, exterior trim and delivery. When comparing arched exterior doors for sale, compare complete door systems with the same components—not a slab price against a fully framed pair.

Review production timing, delivery requirements and warranty terms. Confirm timing for your order before scheduling installation.

Arched Exterior Door Questions

Is a round-top door the same as an arched door?

A round-top door is one form of arched door. Other arched doors have a shallower segmented curve. Match the dimensions and profile drawing rather than relying on the product name alone.

Can I buy a custom-size arched door?

Selected designs offer custom width, height and other options. The exact arch and size combinations depend on the model. Send Rustica your opening measurements and profile to confirm what can be made.

Can an arched door fit an existing archway?

It may, if the door, frame and opening profiles are compatible. Width and maximum height alone are insufficient. Your installer should check the arch rise, shoulder heights, frame depth and clearances against the approved drawing.

Are arched exterior doors available with glass?

Yes. This collection includes arched metal-and-glass designs as well as wood doors. Review the available glazing and privacy options for the selected product and confirm the exterior requirements for your project.

Can I use an arched interior door outside?

Choose a door system specifically intended for exterior use. A similar-looking interior door may have different construction, glazing, seals and finish requirements. Compare arched interior doors separately when coordinating rooms inside your home.

How do I maintain an arched door?

Follow the instructions for its material, finish and glass. Check hinges, latches and alignment, and address rubbing before it damages the finish. Exterior systems also need inspection of seals and weather-exposed surfaces. Avoid unapproved cleaners or changes to the curve or hardware preparation.
