Yes. Our Geometric doors use MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard) which is engineered wood.
MDF is economical and environmentally friendly. The surface of MDF is very smooth which makes it a great surface for painting. MDF is very consistent throughout, so cut edges appear smooth and won't have voids or splinters.
Since the doors are made from the environmentally friendly MDF we only offer paint finishes. MDF paints exceptionally well, but does not receive stain the same way natural wood does.
For both Kit and Assembled doors the hardware (hangers, handles and pulls) are not installed and the doors are not pre-drilled which allows every installation the ability to make any unique changes needed specific to your needs.
Yes, our patented adjustable spacers and header-boards allow the door to be installed over existing door frames.
