01 / Plan your arrival
Delivery & Freight Coordination
We want your delivery to go as smoothly as possible. Once your order ships, you will receive tracking information, and the freight carrier will contact you to coordinate delivery when your shipment reaches the local terminal.
Please respond promptly to the carrier to schedule your delivery. Shipments that remain at the freight terminal due to delays in scheduling may incur storage, redelivery, return, or reshipment charges. Any additional freight charges resulting from a delay in accepting or scheduling delivery after carrier notification are the customer's responsibility.
Most Rustica freight orders include curbside delivery. This means the carrier will deliver the shipment to the curb or nearest safely accessible location. Freight carriers are not responsible for moving the crate into your home, garage, jobsite, or other location beyond the delivery point.
Because some Rustica products are exceptionally large or heavy, certain shipments may require additional assistance for unloading or pickup at the nearest freight terminal. When special delivery arrangements are required, they will be communicated as part of the ordering and production process.
Please also consider access to your property when preparing for delivery. Narrow roads, steep grades, gated communities, low clearances, construction zones, or other access restrictions may prevent a full-size freight truck from reaching your location. In these situations, you may need to meet the carrier at the nearest safely accessible location or freight terminal.
02 / Check every detail
Inspect Your Delivery Within 48 Hours
Please open the crate and thoroughly inspect your order as soon as it is delivered. Any damage, missing components, incorrect specifications, or other concerns must be reported to Rustica within 48 hours of delivery.
Your inspection should include the product itself as well as its size, finish, glass, hardware, components, and other applicable order specifications.
If you notice visible damage to the crate or shipment at delivery, document it with photographs before and during unpacking. Keeping photos of the packaging, crate, and product can be extremely helpful if a freight claim is necessary.
03 / Preserve the details
Protect Your Product After Delivery
The shipping crate is designed for transportation—not long-term or outdoor storage.
After delivery, move the crate and product to a clean, dry, protected environment and unpack it as soon as possible. Do not leave a crated product outdoors or exposed to rain, snow, excessive moisture, or significant temperature changes.
Even finished products can be affected by improper storage or environmental exposure.
Unfinished products should be properly finished and sealed as soon as possible after receipt.
Keep Your Shipping Crate
Please do not discard, damage, or destroy the original shipping crate until you have fully inspected your order and are satisfied that everything is correct.
If a product needs to be returned or transported back to Rustica, the original crate may be required to safely ship it.
Rustica does not provide replacement crating when the original shipping crate has been discarded or destroyed.
04 / Prepare for the finishing touch
Before You Schedule Installation
We know you're excited to complete your project, but please wait to schedule installation until your entire order has arrived and you have confirmed that everything is correct.
Before installation:
- Confirm all products and components have been received.
- Inspect the product for shipping damage.
- Verify dimensions, specifications, finish, glass, hardware, handing, and other applicable selections.
- Confirm that your installer understands the product and installation requirements.
- Contact Rustica before installation if anything appears incorrect or you have questions.
Rustica is not responsible for installation, de-installation, re-installation, contractor, travel, transportation, or related costs, including costs associated with addressing a manufacturing-related concern. This is why inspection before installation is so important.
Made for your space. Care for its future.
Installation, Storage & Warranty
Rustica products should be installed within 30 days of receipt. Extended storage, improper storage, environmental exposure, or failure to install the product within the recommended timeframe may affect warranty coverage.
For unfinished products, proper finishing and sealing should be completed as soon as possible and in accordance with the applicable product requirements.
For complete warranty terms, requirements, and exclusions, please review our Warranty Information .
