1. In some areas of the country we see more damage than acceptable when kit doors are shipped unassembled in a ground shipping box, so it is likely that a kit door may ship in a crate via a freight carrier so that your beautiful door arrives without damage.

2. Doors ordered as kits (regardless of if they are shipped unassembled or assembled) do not have a warranty against warping, separating or splitting.

3. It is possible that your kit door may come unassembled and need to be assembled using the 7 inch lag screws through the side of the stiles.

4. For both Unassembled and Assembled doors... the hardware (hangers, handles and pulls) is not installed and the doors are not pre-drilled which allows every installation the ability to make any unique changes needed.

Doors are treated to look as if they have been exposed to the weather and will have an uneven surface that looks as if the wind and rain have scratched the surface and worn away the softer parts of the wood in the same direction as the wood grain. Each finish is hand applied and will have variation from one to the next.

Distressed

Doors are distressed using several different tools. The process will dent, ding, scratch and chip away at the wood without a specific pattern or method. This texture is intended to give a used and beaten look to the wood. Each finish is hand applied and will have variation from one to the next.

Adzed

Doors are chipped at with high frequency creating a unique and decorative pattern that is not smoother and replicated early woodworking. Each finish is hand applied and will have variation from one to the next.

Band Saw

Ranch Barn Door

Rustic and relaxed, the Ranch Barn Door looks perfect in every space. Composed of solid vertical beams accented by three horizontal slats for strength and durability, it is an update to the True Barn Door that has only two overlays. The upgrade of three horizontal slats was required as doors got bigger in size and needed to be more stable and durable. It is important to note that the back of the door does not have the three horizontal slats so it can pass behind the wall.

This is one of the most popular door styles. Personally I love the door as shown in the sample picture, with a distressed texture and the stain glaze finish. There is just something about this combination that makes the door look tough, sturdy and old. The combination of the 3 overlays (not required for stability any more, but they look great), the beat up distressed texture and deep stain glaze makes a statement that seems to say "I have been here a long time and I will be here for years to come!"

I LOVE MY DOOR!

I've been wanting a barn door for my not-so-private bathroom and just couldn't find anything that looked or could fit quite right until THIS DOOR! It's absolutely beautiful and fits my space just the way I wanted it to. The hardware was so easy to install. The wheels roll smoothly and we haven't had any problems with it. Couldn't be happier!

Is this a solid wood door?

Yes. We use engineered lumber, which is solid lumber, for the stiles and rails which increases the doors strength and reduces warping and twisting. There are a variety of center panel options and if the center is wood, typically solid wood is used. Some styles use an MDF center panel to create the desired look.

What species of wood do you use?

We offer you, the customer, several wood species options to choose from. Each wood species has unique characteristics and since we use solid wood, the wood species characteristics will be present in the door.

Does this door come fully assembled?

Yes. We prefer to professionally fully assemble the door for you. We have found a significant decrease in shipping damage and increase in customer happiness when ship an assembled door in a create.

Do the hangers and handles come pre-installed?

For both Kit and Assembled doors the hardware (hangers, handles and pulls) are not installed and the doors are not pre-drilled which allows every installation the ability to make any unique changes needed specific to your needs.

Can I hang this door over an existing door frame?
