Industry Barn Door

The Industry Barn Door combines a rustic and industrial look that pairs well with modern style. This barn door is made with a sheet of raw steel (see note below and additional photos about what to expect with raw steel) covering the entire exterior face of the door while the core and edge (which is visible) of the door is wood. This results in a relatively lightweight door (compared to a 1-3/4 solid steel door) that conforms with standard barn door specifications without the necessity of weld marks around all sides of the door's edges. A top choice for designers, this modern barn door is made to last a lifetime and become the center of attention in any office space, loft or minimalistic style home.

Paying homage to the hardworking artists of the industrial era, this barn door's metal exterior sheeting is raw steel with natural steel blemishes, natural raw steel character (may include scratches and "dings", and variations in the steel color and uniformity of color). This door is made from raw rolled steel and will show all the characteristics unique to raw steel including tones ranging from light grey, blue tones to dark grey, almost black.  There may also be variations and irregularities (some may call them scratches or dings, but they add to the character or each door) that are actually part of the raw rolled steel sheeting and unique to every door.  If you are expecting a very clean, uniform, almost painted steel look, this door may not be for you.  While it is possible to get steel sheets without character and personality, it is uncommon.  If you like the industrial, variable, look of raw steel, ranging from plain, the lots of character and a variety of colors, or possibly no variation at all,  you will love the Industrial Barn Door.  This door does have a light clear coat on it, but like all steel there is a possibility of the development of oxidation, and ultimately rust, with exposure to moister and humidity. Please note that scratches are part of the character of this product.

*Note: The hot rolled raw steel sheets used for these doors come from the steel mill in a variety of shades from light grey, to bluish tones, to dark grey almost black.  Your door may be uniform in color, have streaks or spots with color variances.  All of this is normal and natural for hot rolled raw steel sheets. In addition to the color and pattern variances scratches are normal and acceptable.  The steel sheet may have lots of color and character or none at all, it is a beautiful industrial door with no set look, just whatever "personality" or lack thereof that a particular steel sheet has. Please review all images for some examples of what your door may look like.

When selecting handles and pulls it is important to know that there is a solid 5.5in frame all the way around the door.  Handles or pulls that require routing out the door can be installed, but the installer will need to cut the steel first before routering out the wood.
