Each week you'll get to know one of our expert craftsmen a little better as they share what they love about their craft, why they love their craft, and few helpful tips for fellow DIYers. Today we are spotlighting Clint Murray, expert in door assembly and specialty woods!
Clint feels most inspired spending time in the great outdoors and enjoying nature, although when it comes to wood working, he loves loves being able to create something from nothing and watch the entire process from start to finish. Clint's has a background in wood working and loves when he gets to work with orders that involve specialty woods. However, Clint's favorite wood to work with is walnut because it smells fantastic, he loves looking at the beautiful grain patterns that surround each burl, and he loves that walnut only takes a simple clear coat to come to life!
Clint's favorite tools to work with are chisels because they are easy to use, but difficult to master. Seeing a completed door that Clint's spent days and days on being sent to a customer is his favorite part of being a craftsman, he loves knowing someone is going to appreciate all of the hard work he put into a door for years and years.
